O Mestrado em Artes Plásticas (MAP) propõe-se, através da sua estrutura curricular, contribuir para o desenvolvimento e consolidação do projecto individual dos Estudante, partindo dos diversos territórios das especialidades em Artes Plásticas em que está construído: Desenho, Escultura, Intermédia, Pintura.
Se por um lado pretende aprofundar os estudos do Primeiro Ciclo (Licenciatura) em Artes Plásticas oferecido pela FBAUP, o MAP permite igualmente a possibilidade de Estudantes de diversas proveniências e formações poderem desenvolver as suas competências e aprofundar aqui os seus estudos.
Este programa de estudos é construído num regime experimental de trabalho em Estúdio, coordenado por Professores das diversas especialidades, contando ainda com Investigadores e Artistas convidados de diversas nacionalidades e academias.
O trabalho de estúdio, como em outras unidades curriculares oferecidas ao Estudante, poderá ser acompanhado de workshops com Artistas Convidados, programa de residências, exposições, visitas, conferências, como de outras actividades a realizar em calendário pré-definido.
Estimulando e incentivando parcerias externas à FBAUP, no sentido da promoção e criação de actividades como profissionais e das especializações expressas pelos Estudantes, o MAP contempla no seu programa final de apresentação os formatos: Dissertação e Relatório de Projecto.
Aos Estudantes será conferido Certificado de Estudos com a especialidade em que concluíram e desenvolveram o Programa de Estudos do MAP.

The Master in Fine Arts (MFA) proposes, through its curricular structure, to contribute to the development and consolidation of individual projects of students, offering various territories of specialties in Fine Arts such as: Drawing, Sculpture, Intermedia & Painting.
If, on the one hand, one intends to deepen the studies of the BA in Fine Arts offered by FBAUP, MFA also allows the possibility for Students of different origins and backgrounds to be able to develop their skills and deepen their studies here.
The study plan is built on an experimental regime of work in the Studio, coordinated by Professors from different specialties, and also includes Researchers and Invited Artists from different nationalities and academies.
The studio work, as in other courses offered to the Student, may be accompanied by workshops with invited artists, residency programs, exhibitions, visits, conferences, as well as other activities to be carried out in a predefined calendar.
By stimulating and encouraging partnerships external to FBAUP, in the sense of promoting and creating activities with professionals and defined by the students, MFA includes in its final presentation program the formats: Dissertation and Project Report.
Students will be awarded a Certificate of Studies with the specialty in which they completed and developed the MAP Study Program.
(PT) Há um espectro amplo de possibilidades ao nível profissional, em actividades/saídas profissionais, tais como: a atividade artística independente, a atividade de investigação das diversas especilidades do MAP, a criação de e colaboração com equipas multidisciplinares empresariais e industriais, a participação em equipas multidisciplinares em organizações culturais, a dinamização e produção cultural e colaborações diversas com museus, galerias, teatros, e outros espaços culturais.
(ENG) There is a wide spectrum of possibilities at the professional level, in professional activities/outputs, such as: independent artistic activity, research activity in the various specialties of the MAP, the creation of and collaboration with multidisciplinary business and industrial teams, participation in teams multidisciplinary activities in cultural organizations, the dynamization and cultural production and diverse collaborations with museums, galleries, theaters, and other cultural spaces.
